Cuticle remover softens the dead tissue on the nail plate so it can be pushed back and removed cleanly, with less cutting.
Alkaline removers
The most common type. They work quickly and are ideal for a classic manicure. Leave on for the time stated on the bottle, then push back and wash off thoroughly.
Acidic (fruit-acid) removers
Gentler and slower, good for sensitive skin and for clients who have regular appointments.
Gel or liquid?
Gels stay where you put them, so they are easier to control on the cuticle line. Liquids spread further and suit quick pedicures.
Safety first
- Never leave remover on longer than recommended.
- Wash it off completely before applying any gel product.
- Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
